About
This large-scale simulation highlights unnecessary barriers to successful reentry from prison. During the simulation, participants will assume new identities as well as new personal factors that apply to them as ex-offenders returning to the community. They will have to meet the strict life that actual returning ex-offenders have to meet or risk going back to jail. The simulation lasts 2 hours, and no prior experience is required.
This event is co-sponsored by the UAB Departments of Criminal Justice, Occupational Therapy, Political Science & Public Administration and Social Work, the UAB Institute for Human Rights, and the North Alabama US Attorney's Office. Attendance is free, and all are welcome.
