Brain Awareness Week

Hi Everyone, 

Brain Awareness Week is March 23rd-27th, 2020 and we're very excited to have another great event this year! We need your help leading demonstrations throughout the week. We have a variety of types of demonstrations spread out across the morning and afternoon shift each day of the week.

It is extremely important that you only sign up for a time slot if you plan to show up for your time slot. When you don't show up it reflects badly on UAB, makes the event more stressful for other volunteers, and makes it less fun for the kids at McWane Science Center. If you no-show to your sign-up time, we may not allow you to volunteer for BAW events in the future. 

There will be two training sessions the week prior to BAW. We will announce the specific dates and times soon. In order to volunteer with McWane Science Center, your attendance at one of the trainings is mandatory. 

We are extremely grateful for all the help our volunteers have provided in the past and we look forward to another fun and successful event this year!
