Glenn Iris Community Clean up (UAB's MLK Beloved Community)

Please join the Glen Iris Neighborhood Association and UAB student volunteers in a neighborhood cleanup in conjunction with the annual MLK National Day of Service. 

We will meet at George Ward Park in the parking lot for the Greensprings Dog Park (1871 Greensprings Highway 35205 ) and the lower ball field around 11 AM. The cleanup will go from 11 to 1 PM. The cleanup will concentrate  on picking up trash along portions of Greensprings Highway, in George Ward Park and removal of soil runoff on the park concrete walkways.

Please wear work clothes and close-toed shoes. Water, snacks, gloves, pickers, garbage sacks and the work tools will be provided. 

All volunteers must meet at 9:00a.m. Monday morning at UAB University Recreation. This is mandatory to serve! Volunteers will depart for service from University Recreation. Service will end at 1:00p.m.
